62 grid, no gap
All dimensions of the b62 frame system are based on a perfect 62 × 62 mm grid.
Lightweight
One standard b62 922 x 2480 mm aluminum frame weighs 15.82 lbs (or about 7.18 kg).
Long life cycle
b62 frames can be used up to 200 times, in all kinds of configurations. Our frames are welded and therefore extremely strong.

All frames produced on our automatic line in Belgium are ClimatePartner Certified.
Sustainability first
We offer two kinds of frames: anodized and ECO+. Our ECO+ frames look similar to anodized frames but have a different finishing process. Anodizing is an extremely polluting process that uses harsh chemicals. Our ECO+ finishing is a special brushing technique that doesn't harm the environment. Additionally, our frames are 100% aluminum!

Why we changed from 55 to 62
55 mm grid
A 55 frame is thinner than a 62 frame. All dimensions of the 55 mm frame system are based on the 62 x 62 mm grid. When building a construction with 55 mm frames in a 62 mm grid, you always end up with gaps and instability.
The more you build, the more you need to mind the gap. This results in investing in extra parts to solve these issues and offer a nicely finished stand.
62 mm grid
All dimensions of the b62 frame system are based on the perfect 62 × 62 mm grid. The width, length and height of the stands that have been designed and built with b62 frames are always multiples of 62.
Every construction fits exactly – right down to the last millimeter – in all directions and in any combination. You have no unsightly gaps between the frames.
55 mm grid
When drilling the 31 mm holes into the metal extrusion, the profile is too narrow. This results in holes being drilled through the SEG channel, leading to light-bleed. Due to the compromised channel, you need special connectors that are installed at the perfect angle. If not, your SEG will have unsightly bulges. That’s not how we do things. We prefer a seamless finish, something that isn't (nor will it ever) be possible with 55 mm frames.
62 mm grid
With the b62 frame, you can easily finish your design with panels, textiles, or any other creative infill that you want. Whatever you choose, the b62 frames ensure a nice and seamless finish without gaps or light bleed.
Frame DNA
Welded
Our frames are welded and not glued, so we don’t need steel brackets in every corner to keep the profiles together. Our corners never break. A weld is flexible and can withstand significant pressure, whereas a glued connection is more likely to break under stress.
Did you know welded frames are stronger than glued frames? This makes our frame safe to build horizontal loads e.g. ceilings.
b62 frames can be used over 200 times, in all kinds of configurations. This long-life cycle lowers the demand for raw materials and increases the return on investment for our customers.
Lightweight
One b62 922 x 2480 mm aluminum frame weighs 15.82 lbs (or about 7.18 kg). That's about 15% less than most other solutions in the market. Another perk: in some countries, you save money on shipping costs with our lightweight frame.
ECO+ finish
We don't anodize frames. Usually, someone's first impression of an anodized frame is that it looks good; however, the finishing process has a huge downside. Anodizing is one of the most toxic surface treatments out there.
Instead, beMatrix introduced the ECO+ finish. The surface treatment is part of our in-house production process. By creating and finishing our frames in-house, less transportation is needed and we can have shorter lead times. An added bonus: we reduced the carbon footprint of our frame!
Frames are made to be used over and over again. Even though the frames are loved, sometimes they get damaged. With the ECO+ finish, you can refurbish your frames and make them look as good as new.
At the end of the lifecycle, the frame is fully recyclable because its made of 100 % aluminum.
The ECO+ finish is applied after sawing and milling ensuring that there are no burrs.
VELCRO®
VELCRO® is known globally for its high-quality fastener solutions. Because we always want to provide the best possible solutions for our customers, we collaborated with VELCRO® to co-develop a custom-made, more adhesive solution just for our frames! The same VELCRO® solution is used for straight walls, curved walls, or to finish a ceiling.
The VELCRO® is applied on top of the profiles. If needed, you can refurbish your frame by replacing the used with new VELCRO® making it as good as new. At the end of the lifecycle, the VELCRO® needs to be removed before recycling.
The most sustainable solution on the market
We know this is a serious claim.
At its core, a reusable aluminum frame is already a sustainable solution. Over the past 3 years, we have been reducing the footprint of our frame to an absolute minimum and we compensate for what cannot be avoided. Let's back up these claims with some proof.
100% green power
Since 2019 our production runs entirely on green power.
78.5% recycled aluminum
The profiles used to construct a frame on our automatic line consist of 78.5% recycled aluminium.
ClimatePartner Certified frame
beMatrix is the only modular frame solution on the market with a ClimatePartner certification.
Our 12 most popular frames are ClimatePartner Certified, covering no less than 90% of all ECO+ frames produced in scope. By doing so, we reduce our emissions by more than 9,000 metric tons per year.
Obtaining a ClimatePartner Certified frame is an ongoing process focused on CO2 reduction. First, the carbon footprint was calculated for each product. Then, reduction targets were set to reduce CO2 emissions as much as possible. These reduction measures were implemented successfully.
Any remaining CO2 emissions are neutralized by funding climate projects. By applying a label to each aluminum frame involved, we transparently communicate our impact to you.
