How does the carbon footprint calculator work?
This initiative is led by Sustainability Manager Edwin Van der Vennet and created in collaboration with experts from Lumeron VDB Consulting and EthioTrees. We partnered with a certified body to ensure the figures are scientifically accurate, using the Bilan Produit from the ADEME database. Additionally, we have also worked with ClimatePartner, an independent organisation that helps companies calculate and reduce CO2 emissions, and finance certified climate projects. This way, the calculations will be more accurate and reliable. You can download all the reports and other information on ClimatePartner.
We understand the importance of accuracy and transparency when it comes to sustainability data. While there are currently no industry standards for calculating carbon footprints, we made every effort to provide the most reliable estimates. We prioritise honesty and will continue to refine the tool as industry standards are defined.
This tool is easy to use. Start by entering the surface type and its quantity, then follow the dropdown options in three simple steps. First, specify the structure material, which can be wood, aluminum, or LEDskin® and select the infill type while indicating if the materials will be reused. The more you reuse, the "greener" your stand becomes. Finally, choose the carrier and finish, whether it is an infill or a print type, and again confirm if you plan to reuse these materials. Once all details are filled in, you will immediately see the total emissions of your completed stand.
