Welcome to the future of do-ers!
As a Belgian company, we are proud to be part of the future of Flanders at the Flanders Technology & innovation events. We participated in the opening event at the Winter Circus in Ghent and the closing event at the Sportpaleis. Discover how we are helping to shape the future of Flanders with beMatrix.
Flanders is a technological masterpiece
With beMatrix, we had the opportunity to participate in the Flanders Technology & innovation festival. FTI is the successor to technology fair Flanders Technology, which almost 25 years after its last edition aims to put Flanders back on the map with the general public as a region "where technology, entrepreneurship and innovations go hand in hand".
What? Flanders Technology & Innovation, brings everyone together around technology and innovation and is an engine of sustainable prosperity. Only together can we tackle the big challenges of the future.
How? With concrete projects in 6 areas that make life better for every Flemish resident: data technology, health, energy, mobility, entertainment and lifelong learning. These were all on display at the various FTI festivals in our country, each with its own mission.
Why? We strengthen our reputation and position as an ambitious, open region that is at the world's top in terms of scientific innovation. In other words, we put Belgium on the map as an innovative country.
Opening event at the Winter Circus
FTI's opening event took place at the Winter Circus in Ghent, a stone circus designed by Belgian architect Emile De Weerdt. From 2017 to 2023, the circus was converted into a meeting place with offices, catering and a rock hall. The ideal place to launch this technological and Flemish event!
The guests entered the impressive venue through a LED tunnel in beMatrix. This tunnel consisted of our latest and double award-winning LEDskin® 1.5 technology and, of course, our already famous b62 frames.
In the venue, the presentation was brought via a giant LEDskin® screen measuring 10 by 4 metres or 40 m², built by our partner Total-e.
After several keynote speakers, the entire Flemish government came on stage to open the festival in style. A start to an interesting 7-day event full of technology and innovation in every corner of Flanders.
Closing event in the Sportpaleis
As icing on the cake we were allowed to rebuild our tunnel in LEDskin® at the closing event in one of the biggest event halls in Belgium, the Sportpaleis. The job fair stands, also in beMatrix, were professionally built by the people from Camp2Camp.
Remember the typical 3x3 cubicle stands that are usually offered at trade shows as basic stands? Together with Belgian bePartner design Stand Ideas, we have added curved frames to the straight frames to give the job stands just that little bit more. With a small additional cost, you have much more impactful stands at your fair, leaving a better impression on your visitors.
The individuality of the participating companies was combined with FTI's corporate identity. This concept was built entirely by stand builder Total-e.
Vzw Camp2Camp, part of The Value Factory, collects camping equipment left behind at festivals. They check and clean them with young people from disadvantaged social groups so they can then sell, rent or donate them to good causes. They do this for our country's biggest festival Tomorrowland, among others.
Recently, they also started working in the stand construction sector. They visited beMatrix and less than a week later they went to work with it themselves in Ghent and Antwerp. A project very close to our hearts!
