Climbing for life
Seven beManiacs took up a daring challenge on 19 and 20 August for a good cause: they participated on foot and by bike in "Climbing for life" in Les 2 Alpes, France.
On Friday, our colleagues John, Philip, Steven and Peter conquered Alpe d'Huez by bike and on Saturday they have completed a bycicle tour of 51 kilometers.
Meanwhile Edwin, Stefaan and Antony put on their running shoes and tackled the 15 km Trial Run on Friday. The next day they were ready to take part in the ascent of the "Col des 2 Alpes" for runners. All of them achieved successfully the finish line. Way to go beManiacs !
"Climbing for Life" wants to inspire people and society that everyone is able with or without restrictions to great achievements, as long as you go out of your abilities rather than your disabilities. This year's focus was on diabetes and to demonstrate that sporting achievements are also perfectly feasible for people with diabetes.
