The beMatrix City of the Future
From 4 to 7 February beMatrix was again present at Integrated Systems Europe or ISE, the world’s leading AV exhibition. During 4 days 1,610 exhibitors showcased their newest innovations in spread over 8 halls in the hustling city of Barcelona. More than 85,351 unique verified visitors from 168 countries came to discover state-of-the-art technology, to reunite with each other and restore connection with virtually impossible experiences.
A dazzling concept of 96m²
It may sound strange, but a trade fair participation always starts at the previous edition. The best trade fairs are very popular and the good spots are coveted. So we also started with ISE 2025 during our participation in 2024. After much back and forth, we secured a 96-square-metre spot in hall 4, the digital signage hall.
We once again got to work with beMaster Infuse from Sweden to develop a dazzling concept that would once again be the talk of the exhibition floor. Our requirements? Make the beMatrix system shine, both in terms of its structure and finish, put the latest products in the spotlight and stand out among the LED manufacturers! All this in our familiar, slightly offbeat style.
We quickly came up with ‘The beMatrix City of the Future’. An urban concept with high-rise buildings, large LED screens and sensational content. The core colours will always be green, but we also played with blue, brown and red to demonstrate the capabilities of the LEDskin® products. Ready to discover the city from top to bottom? The best spots in town
Fasten your seatbelts
We start our tour on the corner of the stand where we are blown away by a veritable screen of LEDskin® P.1.5. of 60m². I’ve read that this new LED cabinet has a robust design, a real game changer for the rental business.
Choose to be transported through the city on a zeppelin or prefer to keep your feet on the ground with the monorail. Either way, fasten your seatbelts because you’re in for a huge discovery trip.
Advertising in this city is not printed on static posters, but is done via videos, partly presented on an integrated beTV. I discovered that they have a new range of click-ins on the market. A new way to add spots, hooks, sockets, TV brackets and a porthole to your stand with just one set of click-in tubes! A true gamechanger if you ask me!
A digital bookstore
I already told you that printing is really frowned upon in this city. Do you know how you can read all the brochures here? By scanning QR codes. That way you have brochures at your disposal wherever you are! How handy!
For the old-fashioned people among us, we were still able to find a few hard copies of the brochures. These are displayed on a beautiful bookshelf that is illuminated by beMatrix's latest product: the Profile LightLine. A rubber strip with LED lights that you can easily slide into your profile to highlight items even more.
Did you know that beMatrix won a Best of Show award in the AV Technology category for the Profile LightLine? All the more reason to discover this new product and add it to your product range!
The profile river
We are all familiar with the classic river that flows through the park. Well, in the beMatrix city of the future, a river of LED flows and the apartment buildings around it are created from the profile range. A unique display for a simple basic product.
Why this image? Well, it has been carefully considered, because beMatrix is launching its p.2.5 Outdoor LEDskin® product in this way. The first steps in the outdoor LED world with a near view product. The focus here is mainly on smaller pop-up events and outdoor exhibitions.
Coffee corner
Well, we've been out and about in the city for a while and need some time to rest. Pull up a chair at the beMatrix bar and have a nice cup of fairtrade coffee 💚 in a green cup with the other visitors. Taste some delicious Belgian chocolate and get to know the beManiacs.
The bar itself is made from the iZi range and finished with wooden slats, just like the other furniture on display at the stand.
School’s open
After a well-earned break, it is time to learn more in one of the demo corners of the stand. Play with the system and learn the tricks of the trade from the experts. Each part of the beMatrix system is on display so that even non-experts can learn the basics.
In addition, there is also an entire online learning platform available with, among other things, a carbon footprint calculator and the beCAD online drawing tool. You can draw out your stand concept in 1-2-3 and do so immediately with all beMatrix materials.
The beMatrix catacombs
We also have good news for the curious visitor, because you can also take a look behind the scenes. Discover the entire structure hidden behind the doors of the storage space. See here how LEDskin® is operated and the load-bearing beTruss structure.
Not an ordinary tunnel
When you say ‘beMatrix’, you also say ‘360° concepts’. What's more, this is not only possible with frames, but also with LEDskin®. Did you know that the modules in p.1.9 and p.2.5 are available in straight, curved and perfect corner?
This allows you to create any shape and, like us, you can make a real moving tunnel. Above you can see what a beautiful whole this forms when you sync all the content.
Head in the clouds
Take a moment to be in the clouds, literally ... In this city you are closer to the clouds than ever. This is created by amazing creations with printed textiles. Above the bar you will also discover the new Track Light head, which now has even more options than ever before.
This is not the only place where you can feel light-headed. Also, right above the stand, clouds float by through a cloth stretched across the 124D Lightbox. This was mounted with the construction profile for light-bearing structures and flows so beautifully into each other.
A strong city has strong foundations
Now that you have had the opportunity to discover the entire city, you are naturally wondering how it is constructed, because a strong city is always built on a strong foundation. Here we used the b62 frames in various sizes combined with the beConstruct and beTruss.
beConstruct is used for light-bearing structures such as light boxes, Track Lights and lamps. You can build very high with it – 7 metres here – and it can be assembled in no time at all. By the way, did you know that we are using it to get rid of rigging at events? You can easily integrate a track into this profile and attach lamps of your choice.
What makes the beMatrix frame so loved? 62 seconds of beConstruct
For the slightly heavier items such as LEDskin®, we have chosen to install beTruss, a b62 truss structure that allows you to build stands of any size. Here we used it to project light from a distance of no less than 5 metres.
PS: The real fans had already spotted it, but the monorail runs on beTruss tracks. ;)
It never gets dark here
I already mentioned the Profile LightLine, but this is not the only lighting product in the city. I spotted a beMatrix product I had never seen before: the Cover LightLine, an illuminated cover that you simply click onto your profile. What's more, you can change the colours to match your content. Bye bye lampposts!
You will also find Track Lights and, right at the top of the stand, the SAM Light and BIG SAM Light, so there is plenty of choice! The LEDskin® in the mosaic structure also provides a nice change and movement in the stand and this also provides light, of course.
